The Broker Recruiting Protocol adopted in 2004 has dramatically changed the recruiting landscape for the better.This is good news for advisors, firms and clients alike. Some have opined that the recent rash of wirehouse departures will cause major firms to renounce their participation in the Protocol. A few articles have portrayed major firms as giving lip service to the Protocol while seeking to circumvent it behind the scenes. I believe that this game changing agreement is here to stay.
